Creating Worlds and Environments based off of feeling not just data
Exploration: Having been exploring the world of procedural landscapes and environments since its infancy years back, the advancements since I was 18 and first approached world/landscape creation having been major to say the least. Using World Creator from O.T.O.Y has been a great addition to my workflow using Insydium X-Particles to take my landscape to the next level with another layer of procedural tools inside of Cinema 4D that can now with advancements be imported into Unreal or Unity.
The goal with this portion of my research and development for the year, is to create realistic environments that are impacted by things like weather, human impact, or even things like pollution or even climate change. I think that this is a great platform for designers/artist to focus on in this new era of digital art and design. If we shift our collective focus on creating things with a purpose or intent, things like A.I. will become a tool for artist/designers like myself so that we can provide realistic solution to real world problems. Sometimes even the numbers and data can lie. Sometimes the art of feelings/emotion are what going forward will separate true creatives from the people just focused on data and statistics, though useful, can sometimes mislead.
Imaging the ability to reference A.I. on things like Physics, Weather patterns or effects, Algebra/Math, Societal Impacts, or any information useful to my research in creating a digital 3D world that works in cohesion with the real world. The goal is not to generate ideas/art/designs that is meant to look pretty or distract you from the real world, but instead provide solutions to these problems that arise in this age. The goal is to turn these tools into productive measures for everyone in the world.
Stay tuned as I work on some projects through the year that push forth this focus. Iām currently working on a members only portion where you will be able to access the files n such I develop.
